While one might argue that long pillars can also serve this purpose, the efficiency of using the base collar becomes evident during leveling tasks with machinery. To expedite the process, two individuals collaborate: one operates the level machine, while the other follows instructions to precisely adjust the level of the initial Layher disc. This streamlined approach becomes particularly advantageous when working with 2-meter trusses, as their weight and complexity can make the task challenging for a smaller team, potentially necessitating the involvement of three or four individuals.
