What is single scaffolding vs double scaffolding?

In our daily life, As for the classification of scaffolding, we classify it according to two categories on materals. steel scaffolding and aluminum scaffolding. Scaffolds made of different materials have already determined their scope of use.

for example, in the steel scaffolding. single scaffolding is also known as Brick layers scaffolding in construction works, their ledgers supported by putlogs. if there is only one layer of standards (vertical posts), usually it is called single scaffolding, and if it uses two layer of standards, then we call it double layer scaffolding. 

The width of iron scaffold is usually customized according to different construction sites. But the most commonly used width is two meters. Therefore, the width of a single-width iron scaffold is two meters. The width of double-width iron scaffold is 4 meters.

while in the aluminum scaffolding, especiall in our stage scaffolding. Single-wide scaffold means that its width is only 0.75 meters. As a result, the double-width scaffold is 1.35 meters wide.The width of double-width scaffold is just twice that of single-width scaffold.
